Whether he was advocating for social causes, helping individuals in need, or quietly contributing to animal welfare, Tata's kindness was as profound as his leadership. He cared deeply about the world around him, always putting people and principles above profit. His warmth, empathy, and genuine concern for others made him beloved not just as a businessman, but as a truly great human being. A man like him is rare to find in any century. Rest in peace, Mr Tata.

Controversial US Tech Firm Clearview AI Finds Itself In A Difficult Position Once Again

The controversial facial recognition service provider Clearview AI, which was recently linked to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, agreed to resolve an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lawsuit filed in 2020. The lawsuit accused the firm of violating an Illinois law prohibiting the use of people's biometric data without their consent. In a statement, Nathan Freed Wessler, a deputy director of the ACLU Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project said: “By requiring Clearview to comply with Illinois’ pathbreaking biometric privacy law not just in the state, but across the country, this settlement demonstrates that strong privacy laws can provide real protections against abuse.” “Clearview can no longer treat people’s unique biometric identifiers as an unrestricted source of profit. Other companies would be wise to take note, and other states should follow Illinois’ lead in enacting strong biometric privacy laws,” he added. Vaccination Is The Key

The world’s biggest retailer Walmart has decided to set up vaccination clinics for over 200,000 of its workers and their families in India.   The company is not procuring Covid-19 vaccines but will cover the cost of inoculations for its associates and households.   The decision is taken at a time when India is witnessing a massive surge in Covid-19 cases during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.   Even though the American multinational retail corporation has no stores in India, it controls two of the most important online companies in the country –Flipkart and PhonePe.   Walmart said on 29 April in a statement that it will donate over 3,000 oxygen concentrators and 500 oxygen cylinders for delivering oxygen therapy to patients at home or in hospitals.   Additionally, the company will also donate 20 oxygen-generating plants, as well as 20 cryogenic containers for oxygen storage and transportation.   Even as part of the United States-India Business Council relief efforts, Walma
